Sitting Hamstring Stretch

To begin this stretch:

  • Sit down on the floor.
  • Stick out your left leg.
  • Bend your right leg and place the bottom of your foot along the inside of your left leg (place it by your calf or knee).
  • Place your hands on each knee for support.
    • To stretch:

      • Keeping your back straight, lean forward until you feel a slight discomfort.
      • You may use your hands on your knees to pull yourself forward a little.
      • Pull only to a point of mild discomfort.
      • Do the same for the other side.
